Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This vital role combines hands-on materials handling with skilled forklift operation to ensure the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, managing inventory, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts and pump trucks to load, unload (artics and sea containers), move, and position materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing goods for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organization of products
- Supporting the Warehouse Manager with stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits
- Silk screen-printing and occasional small modifications to products using power tools to meet customer requirements (training can be given).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Ad hoc duties necessary for a small company, such as occasional works
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is highly preferred
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of forklifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail with basic maths skills for counting and verifying shipments
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
