We are looking for a strong Production Kitchen Manager or Senior Production Chef to help lead our central production kitchen.
TRADE is an independent coffee, brunch and bakery business with several London sites. Our production kitchen supports the wider business with savoury prep, baking, brunch items, deli production and high-quality food made properly from scratch. We are known for our home made pastrami and cure, smoke and pack a large amount of this and other homemade sandwich fillings each week. We make dressings, sauces, cookies, cakes, smoothies from this kitchen.
This role could suit an experienced Kitchen Manager, a Senior Production Chef ready to step up, or a very capable all-rounder who is confident taking ownership of a busy production environment.
The role will involve:
- Managing day-to-day production in the kitchen
- Leading, supporting and organising the kitchen team
- Producing food consistently to a high standard
- Managing prep lists, production schedules and ordering
- Maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness and organisation
- Working closely with the wider management team
- Helping improve systems, recipes, quality and consistency
- Supporting both bakery and savoury production where needed
We are looking for someone who is:
- Calm, organised and reliable
- A strong hands-on chef, not just a clipboard manager
- Comfortable taking responsibility
- Good with people and able to lead a small team properly
- Serious about standards, cleanliness and consistency
- Practical, flexible and able to solve problems
- Interested in being part of an independent growing business
Experience in a production kitchen, bakery, café group, deli, brunch kitchen or similar environment would be ideal. Bakery experience is useful but not essential if you are a strong production chef with the right attitude.
