Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. NorthWest Women in STEM (NW WIS) is a non-profit community interest group that aims to engage, educate, and empower women and girls through community events, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
As our programmes continue to grow, we are seeking passionate individuals to support our fundraising and sustainability efforts.
All roles are part-time volunteer roles with remote working and optional access to co-working space near St Peter's Square for meetings and collaboration.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help develop sustainable income streams and strategic partnerships that support the long-term growth of NW WIS.
This role will focus on developing membership models, sponsorship packages, and corporate partnerships.
Duties
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the organisation’s client base.
Strategic Development
- Develop and implement a sustainable fundraising and revenue strategy.
- Identify opportunities for corporate partnerships and sponsorship.
- Support the development of membership fee structures and benefits.
Sponsorship & Partnerships
- Design corporate sponsorship packages for events and programmes.
- Identify companies aligned with STEM, diversity, and community engagement.
- Support outreach to potential corporate partners.
Programme Sustainability
- Explore opportunities for paid workshops, memberships, and partnerships.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial sustainability.
Collaboration
- Work with the NW WIS leadership team to align fundraising with community programmes.
- Support the development of funding proposals and partnership pitches.
