We are seeking an experienced Gate Automation Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and reactive maintenance of automated gates, traffic barriers, and bollards across the North East. This is a field-based role requiring high technical standards and a "safety-first" mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Repairs: Install and automate swing, sliding, and bi-folding gates using brands such as CAME, FAAC, BFT, and Roger Technology and many more.
- Safety & Compliance: Perform mandatory force testing and risk assessments on every visit. Ensure all installations meet DHF TS 011:2019 or Gate Safe standards.
- Access Control: Integration of intercom systems (Videx, Hikvision, Telguard), induction loops, and GSM openers.
- PPM & Service: Carry out planned preventative maintenance and provide detailed reports on system health and recommended upgrades.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in gate automation.
- Qualifications: * DHF or Gate Safe accreditation (Desirable).
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
- CSCS Card (Desirable).
- Skills: Strong fault-finding skills on PCB control boards and mechanical welding/fabrication skills are highly desirable.
- Compliance: Clear DBS check (due to working on residential and school sites).
