We are currently looking for a Residential Support Worker able to work in the Ilford area. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of professionals and directly creating positive outcomes for the young people you’ll support
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (paid monthly)
Working Hours: Full‑time, shift‑based role on a rolling rota (Mon–Sun)
- Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:30pm
- Waking Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am
Essential:
- At least 1 year of experience working with children or young people in any care, support, or education setting
- Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding practices
Desirable:
- Residential childcare experience – a major advantage for this role
- Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong teamwork skills
- High level of integrity and emotional resilience

- Supporting children and young people in their daily routines
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
- Building positive, trusting relationships as a key worker
- Encouraging education, independence, and positive behaviour
- Working alongside social workers, families, and other professionals
- Contributing to care plans and independence goals
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised home
- Completing accurate records and essential administrative tasks
- Making informed decisions to support young people during shifts
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high‑quality care
