Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our team at the Alexandra Care Home with Nursing. This role is vital in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging activities that promote social, mental, and physical well-being. As part of our caring community, you will help us uphold our mission of providing person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.
- Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into individual care plans.
- Foster a warm and inclusive environment encouraging social interaction.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
- Support residents in participating in community outings and events.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
- Promote residents' independence, dignity, and overall well-being through creative programming.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in activity coordination within elderly or assisted living settings is not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care best practices.
- Ability to motivate and engage residents with diverse needs.
- Creative mindset with excellent organizational skills.
- Compassionate attitude aligned with our values of person-centered care.
- Relevant certifications or training in activity planning or elder care preferred.
