About the Role:
Chapel Hill Ophthalmology is looking for a Digital Trading Manager to support the commercial performance of its online services and digital customer journey. You will help manage digital trading activity, improve online conversion and coordinate campaigns across ecommerce, marketing, content and customer service channels.
This role is suitable for an experienced digital commerce professional who understands how pricing, promotions, website content and customer behaviour influence online performance. You will work closely with marketing, operations and technical colleagues to improve digital revenue and create a more effective customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Digital Trading:
Manage day to day digital trading activity and ensure online content, promotions and customer journeys support agreed commercial objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
Track website traffic, conversion, revenue, order values and other key digital performance indicators.
Campaign Coordination:
Work with marketing colleagues to plan and launch digital campaigns, promotions and seasonal activity.
Website Optimisation:
Review key website pages and identify improvements to navigation, content, conversion and customer experience.
Product and Service Content:
Ensure online product or service information, pricing and promotional content remain accurate and up to date.
Commercial Analysis:
Review trading data and customer behaviour to identify trends, performance gaps and growth opportunities.
Conversion Improvement:
Support testing and optimisation initiatives designed to improve online conversion and reduce customer drop off.
Customer Journey:
Identify friction points within the digital journey and coordinate improvements with relevant teams.
Reporting:
Prepare regular trading reports and communicate performance clearly to internal stakeholders.
Digital Merchandising:
Coordinate the placement and presentation of products, services and promotional content across digital channels.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate website, checkout, content or operational issues that affect digital performance and coordinate practical solutions.
Market Awareness:
Monitor competitor activity and digital commerce trends to identify relevant opportunities for improvement.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Several years of experience in ecommerce, digital trading, online retail, commercial digital operations or a related role.
Commercial Knowledge:
Strong understanding of conversion, revenue, promotions, customer journeys and digital performance metrics.
Analytics Skills:
Ability to interpret website and trading data and turn findings into practical recommendations.
Digital Platforms:
Experience using ecommerce platforms, content management systems, analytics tools and spreadsheets.
Campaign Experience:
Experience coordinating digital campaigns and working with marketing or content teams.
Problem Solving:
Ability to identify performance issues, investigate causes and coordinate practical improvements.
Communication:
Strong spoken and written English with the ability to explain commercial performance clearly to different teams.
Organisation:
Ability to manage several trading priorities, maintain accurate information and meet campaign deadlines.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to review pricing, links, content, promotional messaging and digital journeys carefully.
Mindset:

Pay: £3,700.00-£4,500.00 per month
