The Vacancy
Are you someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, and taking pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly? We're looking for a Waste Operative to join our team and play a key role in supporting site operations and environmental management.
This is a hands-on position where you'll help manage waste and recycling activities across site, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service are maintained at all times.
What you'll be doing

Exchanging waste and recycling bins across site.

Transporting and processing waste within the waste compound.

Sorting waste streams correctly and maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Carrying out daily equipment and vehicle checks.

Monitoring waste levels and arranging collections where needed.

Building positive relationships with customers and site teams.

Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.

Contributing ideas for continuous improvement and innovation.
What we're looking for

A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.

Ability to work safely and independently.

Good communication skills and basic IT knowledge.

Waste management experience is desirable.

FLT Licence is desirable.

Towing experience is desirable.

Manual handling experience is beneficial (training can be provided).
