Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-Time Permanent Bar Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role involves serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience in a lively and social environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and occasional afternoons is preferred.
Current Shift Requirements
Saturday 5/5.30 - 11.00-11.30 (or finish) / Sunday Lunchtime 11.45-3.30 approx. / Monday evenings 5/5.30 - 11.00-11.30 (or finish) & occasional functions & holiday cover.
Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
- Restaurant table service - taking restaurant drinks orders and delivering to tables.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing any queries or concerns
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, occasional lunchtimes and holiday periods as needed
