Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience specialising in Indian cuisine, and a commitment to food safety standards. This role involves overseeing the preparation and cooking of authentic tandoori dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food service. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional tandoori dishes with authentic flavours and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Manage food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality across all dishes.
- Oversee food safety practices in compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new recipes and improving existing dishes based on culinary trends and customer feedback.
- Train new team members in food preparation, cooking methods, and safety procedures.
- Maintain stock levels of ingredients, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by ensuring all food served meets quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience minimum 3 years as a Tandoori Chef or similar culinary role specialising in Indian cuisine.
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques specific to tandoori dishes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Prior experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Skills in food presentation, serving, and maintaining high levels of customer service are advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and organisation.

Pay: £32,600.00-£38,000.00 per year
