Are you an experienced Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Support Worker looking for an exciting leadership opportunity within Children's Residential Care?
We are recruiting a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a Children's Residential Home in Slough, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced Registered Manager, support the development of a high-performing team and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people. Deputy Managers in children's homes typically support the Registered Manager with daily operations, safeguarding, staff supervision and Ofsted compliance.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
You will lead shifts, mentor the staff team and help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where young people can achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the daily management of the home.
- Lead and supervise the staff team.
- Promote safeguarding and child-centred practice.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Support care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance.
- Build positive relationships with Local Authorities, families and professionals.
- Mentor Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
✔ Previous experience within an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
✔ Experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader or an experienced Senior Support Worker ready to progress.
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 or working towards is desirable).
✔ Experience supporting young people with EBD.
✔ Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
✔ Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,422.63 per year
