Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and dishwashing stations throughout each shift.
- Support stock rotation by organizing supplies and notifying management when stock levels are low.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold environmental standards.
- Assist with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed for meal service.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen support roles is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food hygiene standards is advantageous.
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality environments is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently.
