We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively with customers, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary paperwork.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the role.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
