Support Worker – Young People’s Supported Accommodation

Job Summary
We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our young people’s supported accommodation service.
You will support young people to develop the practical skills and independence needed for adult life, working with them on day-to-day responsibilities, individual support plans and agreed goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people with independent living skills, including budgeting, shopping, cooking and maintaining their accommodation.
- Work with young people towards the goals in their individual support plans and record their progress.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns, changes in behaviour, risks and incidents in line with agreed procedures.
- Provide handovers and complete records and other documentation as required.
- Support young people to attend education, appointments, meetings and activities.
- Support young people with travel and using public transport where required.
- Attend team meetings, supervision and required training.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with young people while providing the structure, guidance and encouragement they need to develop greater independence.
- An understanding of professional boundaries and safeguarding, including recognising and reporting concerns in line with agreed procedures.
- The skills to complete written and electronic records and use basic IT systems.
Desirable
- Experience working with children or young people in a support, care, residential, education or similar setting.
- An existing Enhanced DBS appropriate to the role.
- A valid driving licence.

Pay and Development
- Day shifts – £13.00 per hour
- Night shifts – £15.00 per hour
- Training and support to work towards a Level 3 Diploma or relevant qualification in Children and Young People.
Pay: £25,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
