Aera Support Adult Day Centre.
We are looking for two part-time support workers and relief workers to join our Day Centre and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we support. We provide a day centre for adults with learning disabilities Physical and Sensory Needs, ASD and Mental Health.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide assistance and care to individuals in need. You will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our customers we care for.
A summary of the tasks involved will include: -
· Supporting our customers to participate in activities.
· Supporting our customers with preparing lunch, and ensuring they are following a healthy diet or prescribed meal plan, this may include support with feeding, where required.
· Supporting our customers with continence, use of the toilet, and personal hygiene. This will include supporting individuals safely with moving and handling equipment.
· Supporting our customers with developing on their independent living skills, tiding up after an activity, keeping area clean and free from clutter, daily living skills and topics.
· Supporting our customers to take their prescribed medication according to their individual care plan and PRN protocols.
· Supporting our customers with social networking and the development of relationships and friendships.
· Respecting our customers as a unique individual who has role and community presence.
· Acting as a key worker and you will be expected to participate in our customers reviews, care planning reviews, risk assessment meetings.
· Maintaining the Day Centre environment to a reasonable standard as identified in the daily household chores file, this will include light gardening duties, health and safety checks. you will be required to report any health and safety concerns to your immediate supervisor.
· You will also be able to take our customers out in the community, on trips and days out, so it’s all about having fun too!

Hourly pay: £13.02. Working days: You will be working 3 days between Monday- Friday between the hours of 8.45 and 3.15pm
