An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join Garrick Ward, an acute medical ward within Galloway Community Hospital.
This is a part time post, 29.19 hours per week, and is fixed term until 23/03/27.
Garrick Ward is a fast paced, dynamic clinical environment, where delivering high quality, person centred care is at the heart of everything we do. You will be part of a positive, supportive team that works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to meet the complex and changing needs of our patients.
The Role
As a Staff Nurse on Garrick Ward, you will:
Deliver safe, effective, evidence based nursing care in an acute medical setting
Work collaboratively with doctors, ANP’s, AHPs and other MDT colleagues
Support patient flow and respond confidently to a busy ward environment
Contribute to service improvement and a culture of continuous learning
Support students and work confidently within a team.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is a Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
Is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable
Thrives in a fast paced acute environment
Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to delivering high standards of care and ongoing professional development
Experience in acute medical nursing is desirable, however applications from newly qualified nurses or those keen to develop their acute skills are welcomed, with support and supervision provided.
