Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen and Domestic Assistant to join our team at Castleford House Nursing Home. This vital role supports our commitment to providing a warm, safe, and engaging environment for our residents by ensuring the highest standards of meal preparation and domestic assistance.
Hours/Pay
- £13 per hour

Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and communal areas.
- Assist with food service during meal times, ensuring residents are served with care.
- Support the domestic needs of the home, including laundry and general cleaning.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently.
- Collaborate with care staff to meet residents' needs.
- Manage stock levels of kitchen supplies and report shortages.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in catering, cooking, or kitchen work.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the home.
- Previous experience in elder care or healthcare settings is desirable but not essential.
- Basic cleaning and domestic skills.
- Enthusiasm for supporting the well-being of others.
