Joiner / General Labourer (Subcontractor)

Stockman Joinery is a small, friendly team based in Penryn, specialising in bespoke joinery, fitted furniture, property renovations and interior projects across Cornwall. We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship and a varied, hands-on approach to every job.
About the role:
We’re looking for a reliable individual with at least some joinery experience to assist with a wide range of projects. This is a labour-only subcontractor position, ideal for someone self-employed who’s flexible and enjoys working as part of a small team. Work is offered as projects require, so hours may vary week to week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery
- Support general building, decorating, and finishing work
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with other trades and team members
Requirements:
- Some experience in joinery or carpentry (essential)
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (preferred)
- Own tools preferred (some can be lent if needed; materials provided)
Training:
- On-the-job training available for the right person
