About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and personable Accountant to join our growing practice in Chesham. This is a fully office-based role, and we are seeking someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues, contributing to a positive team environment, and building strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Complete CT600 corporation tax returns using Excel workings, Xero, and other accounting software.
- Prepare and submit personal tax returns in accordance with UK regulations.
- Perform bookkeeping and data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with clients by phone and email, explaining financial matters clearly and effectively.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK accounting and tax regulations.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' relevant accounting experience.
- At least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment.
- Full right to work in the United Kingdom.

Pay: From £33,000.00 per year
