Fibre Installation Subcontractors – MDU & SDU Overhead Fibre
Location: London and areas within the M25
Contract type: Self-employed / Subcontractor ( UTR required )
Availability: Monday–Saturday, 8:00am–6:00pm
Positions available: 1–4 subcontractors / 1–2 person teams
About Us
We are a small, established fibre and building company with over 10 years’ experience in the fibre industry and over 20 years’ experience in groundworks.
We currently have a strong, ongoing overhead fibre contract with consistent work and are looking for experienced subcontractors to join our team and help us continue to grow.
We are specifically looking for one- or two-person subcontractor teams experienced in delivering MDU and SDU overhead fibre installations to customer premises, primarily across London and within the M25.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out overhead FTTH fibre installations to customer premises, including work within MDU environments.
Typical workloads are:
- 1-person team: approximately 3–5 installations per day
- 2-person team: approximately 6–8 installations per day
Daily volumes will depend on experience, ability, routing and installation complexity.
Essential Requirements
The successful subcontractor/team must have:
- Previous FTTH fibre installation experience
- Previous MDU installation experience – essential
- Experience working within apartment blocks and communal areas
- Experience working within risers and containment systems
- Understanding of fire-stopping requirements
- At least one person within the team qualified in:
- SA001
- SA008
- SLG / NRSWA
- Flat Roof Working
- Proof of all relevant qualifications/certificates
- Valid UK driving licence – maximum 6 points
- Own suitable van
- Own fibre installation equipment, including splicer and cleaver
- Valid DBS certificate, either newly issued or issued within the last 3 months
Pay: £50.00-£450.00 per day
