About the Role
Bytecode Data UK is seeking a skilled Server Hardware Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair server hardware and related infrastructure. You will help ensure reliable system performance and minimize hardware-related downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure server hardware and components.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Replace faulty drives, memory, power supplies, and other components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Monitor hardware health and performance.
- Maintain accurate equipment and service records.
- Support data-center and infrastructure teams.
- Follow security, safety, and equipment-handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Technical qualification in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience with server hardware and data-center environments.
- Knowledge of storage, networking, memory, and server components.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work methodically in technical environments.
- Relevant hardware or infrastructure certifications are an advantage.
