Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich Artists to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and hospitality within a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, a keen eye for food safety, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cleaning and equipment checks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with kitchen operations or culinary tasks is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
