Caridon Young Living is looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Sutton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people in a safe, nurturing residential environment and help them develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for the future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play an important role in the day-to-day care, support and development of young people.
You will be expected to:
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
- Support their emotional, social, educational and behavioural development.
- Provide consistent, high-quality care and encouragement.
- Support young people with daily routines, activities, education and life skills.
- Help implement and follow individual care plans and support strategies.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain clear, appropriate boundaries.
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare, health and safety of young people.
- Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, welcoming and nurturing home.
Every shift is different, and your approach, consistency and support can make a genuine difference to a young person's life.
SHIFT PATTERN
As a zero-hours worker, there are no guaranteed minimum hours. Shifts are offered according to the needs of the service and your availability.
Depending on the needs of the service, shifts may include:
· AM Shift: 8:00am – 2:30pm
· PM Shift: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
· Long Day: 8:00am – 8:30pm
· Sleep Shift: 8:00pm – 8:30am (12AM TO 7AM sleep at a flat rate of £60)
· Waking Night: 8:00pm – 8:30am
