Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and technical skills will ensure high-quality outputs that meet strict specifications. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including milling and other machining equipment, following detailed specifications and technical drawings.
- Interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to program machine operations accurately.
- Use hand tools and materials handling equipment to prepare raw materials and ensure proper machine setup.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts to verify dimensions and quality using basic math skills and measurement tools.
- Maintain proper tooling, fixtures, and tooling inventory to optimize machine performance.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on CNC equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly, welding, and materials handling tasks as needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with mechanical systems, welding equipment, and various materials.
- Document production data, machine settings, and quality control results for traceability and process improvement.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with milling machines, tooling setup, and materials handling techniques.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality verification tasks.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to machining, welding, and materials handling practices.
