At Kinetic we’re redefining operational excellence in higher education, conferencing, and events. As the leading provider of software solutions for student accommodation, event management, catering, and residential services, we help institutions streamline operations, elevate customer experiences, and unlock their full potential.
With over 25 years of experience and trusted by more than 350 institutions worldwide, our software empowers universities and venues to run smarter, faster, and more collaboratively. From bustling campuses to dynamic corporate environments, our technology adapts to the rhythm of each organisation — helping them thrive in a fast-changing world.
But we’re more than just software. We’re a team of passionate problem-solvers, innovators, and collaborators who care deeply about our customers and each other. Our culture is built on empowerment, community, and continuous growth. We believe in giving people the tools, support, and freedom to do their best work — and have fun while doing it.
Joining Kinetic means being part of a purpose-driven business where your ideas matter, your development is supported, and your impact is real. If you’re ready to help shape the future of operational technology in education and events, we’d love to meet you.
This role grows revenue from Kinetic's existing customers. You will understand each customer's strategic goals and proactively sell the additional modules, services and multi-year commitments that help them get there. As the primary commercial contact for your accounts, you will lead strong discovery, deliver tailored demonstrations and manage accounts strategically so customers keep investing in Kinetic.
Genuine sector insight sits at the heart of the role. You will stay close to what is happening across higher education: the pressures institutions face, what comparable institutions are doing, and the regulatory, security and student-experience issues shaping their decisions. Connecting a real customer need to the right Kinetic solution is how you drive growth for both the customer and Kinetic.
This is a commercial, quota-carrying expansion role focused entirely on our existing customer base. Our Customer Experience team owns adoption and value realisation of current products; this role owns expansion, identifying where customers can do more with Kinetic and converting that into signed, revenue-generating agreements. The role does not involve line management or acquiring net-new customers.
Remit: across new software modules, professional services and multi-year renewals, spanning higher education, PBSA, as well as customers in the residential, catering, conferencing and event sector.
Drive revenue growth: Own a portfolio of existing accounts, growing revenue and expanding Kinetic's footprint in each. Build account plans that map current product usage against the modules and services that would deliver further value (the gap), and work the plan to target.
Sell new software modules: Identify and qualify opportunities to introduce customers to additional products, including accommodation, residential, catering, conferencing and events, engagement and resident wellbeing solutions. Translate operational and revenue challenges into a compelling business case and progress the opportunity through to close.
Sell professional services: Position and sell services that help customers get more from their Kinetic investment, including implementation, configuration, optimisation, integrations, development and bespoke project work. Scope requirements with the customer and shape accurate proposals with delivery colleagues.
Manage multi-year contracts: Manage the commercial multi-year renewal of contracts and licence agreements across the portfolio. Secure timely long-term contracts, protect existing revenue and use renewal moments to review the relationship and uplift contract value with additional module purchases.
Demonstrate, quote and negotiate: Deliver compelling product demonstrations, virtually and in person. Analyse and respond to RFPs and RFIs, produce accurate quotes and proposals, manage contract negotiations, and oversee addendums, keeping pricing within agreed guidelines.
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback: Relay market trends and customer needs to product and marketing to improve current solutions and shape new ones, and support wider sales and marketing campaigns into the existing base.
Manage pipeline and forecast: Use Salesforce to maintain an accurate expansion pipeline and forecast, and to sharpen account decisions with reliable data.
Internal: Customer Experience / Success, Professional Services and delivery, Product, Marketing, and Finance / Commercial.
A proven B2B sales or account management track record, ideally in SaaS, with a history of meeting and exceeding quota.
Consultative selling and strong discovery: uncovering the real need and shaping the right solution around it.
Commercial acumen and clear ROI articulation: turning customer goals into a compelling business and value case.
Negotiation, objection handling and closing: securing commitments and favourable terms.
Excellent communication with gravitas: credible and confident with senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Results-driven and coachable: focused on targets, and open to feedback, new AI tools and new ways of working.
Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
SaaS or cloud-based business development experience.
Experience selling to or building relationships with higher education institutions.
A proactive adopter of AI tools, using them to sharpen customer insight and free up time for high-value selling.
Commercially driven and target-oriented, with genuine motivation to grow accounts and hit numbers.
Consultative and curious, more interested in understanding the customer's need than pushing a product.
Relationship-led and trusted, building long-term credibility rather than chasing short-term wins.
Self-motivated and well organised, managing a varied portfolio and competing priorities independently.
Resilient and persistent, comfortable with longer commercial cycles.
Collaborative, working well alongside Customer Experience, delivery and product colleagues.
High integrity, doing what is genuinely right for the customer and for Kinetic.
Adaptable and a quick learner, keeping pace with an evolving product set and changing customer needs.
