Cavallo Ristorante & Bar is looking for an experienced, energetic and passionate Bartender/Mixologist to join our team in Pontefract.
You will be responsible for preparing high-quality cocktails and drinks, delivering friendly and attentive service, and helping create the lively, welcoming atmosphere Cavallo is known for.
This role would suit someone who is confident behind the bar, works well under pressure and takes pride in presentation, consistency and excellent customer service.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and have previous bartending or mixology experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks, wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure all drinks meet Cavallo’s quality and presentation standards.
- Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to every guest.
- Take orders accurately and confidently recommend drinks and pairings.
- Manage multiple drink orders efficiently during busy services.
- Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar area.
- Follow all licensing, food safety and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Check identification when necessary and ensure alcohol is served responsibly.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages to management.
- Process payments accurately where required.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to provide a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous professional bartending or mixology experience is essential.
- Strong cocktail knowledge and the ability to prepare drinks consistently.
- Experience working in a busy restaurant, cocktail bar or hospitality environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A confident, friendly and professional personality.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
- Good attention to detail and high presentation standards.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Must be aged 18 or over.
