Summary
As a Support Worker, you will assist individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, and social activities, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing. You will play a vital role in helping clients maintain independence and achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting in line with care plans.
- Support with meal preparation, medication prompts, and household tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Assist clients to access community services, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Record and report changes in clients’ conditions accurately and promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respect at all times.
- Follow company policies, safeguarding procedures, and care standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential (training provided).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine interest in supporting others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK and satisfactory DBS check.
- Flexible availability, including weekends or evenings if required.
