Experienced Mortgage Administrator / Administrative Assistant
Location: Portadown, Northern Ireland (Office Based)
Hours: Flexible – 24 to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £13.00–£16.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mortgage Administrator or an experienced Administrative Assistant with transferable skills to join our expanding team.

About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the Mortgage Adviser by managing mortgage and protection cases from application through to completion, ensuring every case is handled accurately, efficiently and in line with FCA and company compliance requirements.
You will be responsible for managing your own pipeline of cases while maintaining regular communication with clients and third parties. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, ensuring they remain fully informed throughout their mortgage and protection journey.
Although the primary focus of this role is mortgage and protection administration, you may occasionally assist with general office administration, customer communication and business support activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing mortgage and protection applications.
- Processing client documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with mortgage lenders, protection providers, solicitors, estate agents and valuers.
- Chasing outstanding documents and progressing applications.
- Providing regular updates to clients throughout the application process.
- Maintaining accurate client records and CRM systems.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.
- Managing customer service calls and requesting customer reviews following completion.
- Supporting marketing and business development activities, including administrative support for social media channels.
- Ensuring all work complies with FCA and company procedures.
- Working closely with the Mortgage Adviser and wider team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Meeting agreed service standards and daily activity targets.

Preferred Experience

The following would also be advantageous:
- CeMAP qualification.
- Experience using mortgage sourcing or CRM systems.
- Bilingual skills (English/Lithuanian would be highly desirable, although any additional language would be an advantage).
Additional Information
This is an office-based role in Portadown and is not a remote or hybrid position.
We are primarily looking for an experienced Mortgage Administrator. However, we recognise that excellent administrators can come from a variety of professional backgrounds, so we would also welcome applications from candidates with strong transferable administrative skills within financial services or related industries.
