Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Follow detailed project plans and specifications to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes
- Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of decorating tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
- Conduct quality checks throughout the project to ensure consistent color application and surface smoothness
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Valid driving license to access different work sites as needed
- Excellent communication skills in English to understand project requirements and coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights, handling paints, and operating equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
