The Burn How is a charming, family-run hotel set in a beautiful Victorian property just across the road from Lake Windermere. With 27 comfortable guest rooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we pride ourselves on offering friendly, personal service in a stunning location.
The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and friendly Housekeeping Assistant to join our small and supportive team. This is a varied role that combines one or two breakfast services with housekeeping duties, perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving breakfast in the mornings, including:
- Welcoming and seating guests
- Taking food and drink orders
- Serving meals and clearing tables
- Cleaning guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard
- Assisting fellow housekeepers with daily room turnaround
- Ensuring public areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming
- Following health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- A friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided
