Overview
We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 (C+E) low loader driver, delivering and collecting plant and machinery. You will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation and unloading of heavy plant and machinery to and from customers sites across the South West.
Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) low loader to transport excavators, telehandlers, rollers and other heavy plant.
- Safely load and secure machinery for transit to customers sites.
- Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Complete delivery paperwork and digital checks accurately.
- Loading and unloading construction plant and machinery
- Comply with all road transport and drivers hours regulations
Skills
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Experience operating low loaders and transporting heavy plant machinery
- Good knowledge of load security.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early starts and occassional weekends.
- Flexibility to cover Rigid and drag if required
Pay: £15.00-£22.50 per hour
