Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shuttering Carpenter to join our clients construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and safety on-site. The Shuttering Carpenter will be based in Dudley and work to an hourly rate of upto £25ph CIS depending on experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within the commercial and industrial sectors, contributing to the successful completion of high-quality builds. Applicants should possess strong carpentry skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various tools and materials. Duties
- Constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures in accordance with project specifications
- Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble formwork components
- Reading technical drawings and blueprints to determine measurements and placement
- Ensuring formwork is level, plumb, and secure before pouring concrete
- Performing welding where necessary to reinforce formwork structures
- Assisting with roofing tasks or masonry work as required on-site
- Handling heavy lifting safely to move materials and formwork components into position
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role within the construction industry
- CSCS Skilled Card (Blue)
Hourly Rate
- Upto £25ph depending on experience
