Hours: 08:40 - 15:25 Monday to Friday, term time only plus TED days

The Governors and staff of our large church school are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years department. This is an exciting opportunity to part of our Early Years department which is evolving as part of our new Early Years vision. The role will be term time only: 31 hours 25 minutes (8.40am – 15.25) per week.
The successful candidate will:

Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting, specifically with Early Years

Will have experience and knowledge of the Early Years curriculum
-
Will have an understanding of observation based assessments
-
Have a passion for working with Early Years children and setting the foundations of their educational career
-
Have a secure understanding of play based learning as well as the importance of strong foundations
-
Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs
-
Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement
-
Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest
-
Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic

Have an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development.

Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children.

Be able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community
