Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer/Roofing labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of commercial and residential buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently at heights. The ideal applicant will possess relevant technical skills, physical endurance, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
DOMESTIC ROOFING PROJECTS
Duties
- help Install new roofs using appropriate materials such as , concrete tiles, slates, plain tiles. GRP Roofing , EPDM Rubber
- Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring weatherproofing and durability.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate efficient workflow on-site.
- Basic carpentry skills
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents when working at heights or around hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Qualifications
DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- understanding of construction methods including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and masonry work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Physical fitness to work at heights for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in executing complex projects accurately.
