Youth Work Group Lead

£14.37 per hour | 7 hours per week (term time) | Fixed-term until 31 August 2029
Join The Benjamin Foundation and make a real difference to the lives of young people in King's Lynn. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Youth Work Group Lead to plan and deliver engaging weekly youth sessions for young people aged 8-11 and 12-17. You'll lead activities, support young people to achieve positive outcomes, provide guidance to staff and volunteers, and help create a safe, inclusive environment where young people can thrive.
What we're looking for:
We're seeking an enthusiastic and resilient individual with experience working with young people who can build positive relationships, lead engaging group activities, and support children and families with confidence and compassion. You'll be organised, proactive, committed to safeguarding, and able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues, schools, families, and community partners.
Essential requirements:
- Experience leading youth groups or similar activities for children and young people
- Working knowledge of the needs and challenges facing young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people, families, colleagues, and partners
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and support staff and volunteers
- Commitment to confidentiality, professional boundaries, and high-quality service delivery
- Level 3 Youth Work qualification (or relevant qualification) or working towards
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to undertake relevant training
- Enhanced DBS check required
Desirable:
- First Aid qualification
- Experience of 1-to-1 support and outcome monitoring
- Experience supervising staff or volunteers
