Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, healthy, and functional. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, applying horticultural knowledge and practical skills to deliver high-quality landscape maintenance and gardening services. Responsibilities
- Planting, pruning, and trimming trees, shrubs, and flowers to promote healthy growth and visual appeal.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and systems safely and efficiently.
- Installing new landscapes, including laying turf, planting beds, and creating garden features.
- Maintaining existing landscapes through mowing, edging, fertilising, aerating, and weed control.
- laying paving/edging.
- Assisting with soil preparation, mulching, fertilising, and pest control activities.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and gardening equipment.
- Knowledge of plant care techniques including pruning, fertilising, pest management, and soil preparation.
- Growing experience or a background in horticulture will be advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
- A genuine passion for gardening and landscape design with a keen eye for detail.
Pay: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
