Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electronic Assembler specialising in wiring loom and general assembly to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electrical components, wiring harnesses, and various mechanical parts to ensure the production of high-quality electronic products. Responsibilities
- Assemble wiring looms and electrical components according to technical specifications and diagrams.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct assembly processes.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) during the integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct surface mount technology (SMT) assembly where applicable, ensuring precision in placement and soldering.
- Perform quality checks on assembled components to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical assembly, wiring loom production, or related fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and surface mount technology (SMT) equipment.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application within electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and component integration.
- Experience with the use of electrical test equipment and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
