Due to continuous, large-scale growth within the region, we are looking for a dedicated Area Supervisor to join our existing operational team.
The Role & Responsibilities
As an Area Supervisor, you will be the vital link between our frontline teams and management, ensuring operational excellence across our Newcastle City Centre venues. Your duties will include:
- Team Leadership: Leading and supporting our Door Supervision Teams, ensuring strict health and safety and legal compliance across all assigned sites.
- Site Audits & Visits: Carrying out regular site and contract visits (specifically during out-of-hours/evening trading) to conduct staff performance and security audits.
- Client Liaison: Maintaining regular engagement with clients to ensure high service standards are met.
- Compliance & Admin: Assisting with site-specific Risk Assessments, updating rotas, and providing accurate report writing for the management team.
- Staff Welfare: Monitoring staff welfare, managing initial escalation procedures, and ensuring a positive, professional team culture.
- Reporting: Reporting directly to the Head of Operations/Operations Manager.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following mandatory criteria:
- SIA Licence: Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Close Protection licence.
- Driving Licence: Must have a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Availability: Must be consistently available to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
- Experience: Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, a Head Door Supervisor role, or strong supervisory experience within the night-time economy.
Skills and Attributes:
- A proven security professional who is self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent client service.
- Strong communication, engagement, and conflict management skills.
- Proficient in basic IT packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Smart, professional, and presentable appearance.
