Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Housekeeping Supervisor to assist our head housekeeper in leading our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly within the hotel industry, and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure all areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
- Assist the head housekeeper and be in charge on her days off.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to uphold quality standards and improve performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally to enhance overall guest experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or hotel industry is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using cleaning equipment and understanding of cleaning chemicals and their applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
