Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our dynamic HGV service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tyres, as well as performing wheel alignment services to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on various types of vehicles using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Conduct wheel alignments to ensure proper vehicle handling, tyre wear, and safety standards
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear patterns, and proper pressure; recommend replacements or repairs as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to wheel assembly and suspension components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including calibration of alignment machines and cleaning tools
- Assist customers by explaining services performed, providing recommendations, and answering questions with a friendly attitude
- Lift heavy tyres and wheels safely using appropriate techniques to prevent injury and ensure efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle wheels, suspension systems, and tyre components is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers is necessary
- Experience using power tools for assembly/disassembly tasks is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a busy workshop environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients

Pay: £25,420.00-£40,049.55 per year
