How will you make an impact?
The successful applicant will work within the deburring team removing burr from manufactured components in line with batch card & drawing requirements.

Shift Pattern:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deburr machined components to drawing by following batch cards & standard work instructions.
- Drill, countersink, edge break, chamfer, trim down, polish, saw & tap components as drawing requires.
- Measure/inspect using digital callipers, plug & slip gauges as well as fixtures.
- Ensure the correct personal protective equipment is always worn especially during every job that is carried out.
- Use power tools such as drill & saw, abrasive discs/pads & flap wheels.
- Use of hand tools such as files, abrasive emery cloth, honing/oil stones and deburring tools to create the finish required.
- Take extreme care and attention in handling aerospace parts.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
- Contribute to SQDCP boards and team meetings where required.
- Cover holidays in the deburring team with overtime where possible.
- Carry TPM checks where required.
Experience, Knowledge and Education:
- An understanding of health and safety in the workplace. (Essential)
- Understanding the principles of a standard work instruction. (Essential)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)
- Demonstrate a good level of numeracy & literacy. (Essential)
- Experience in deburring and working with metal parts. (Desirable)
- Experience working within Aerospace and Nuclear. (Desirable)
Skills and Abilities:
- Good manual dexterity & hand-eye coordination. (Essential)
- Ability to work individually or as part of a small team. (Essential)
- Ability to use hand tools & equipment effectively. (Essential)
- Have a proactive and positive attitude to improvements and 5’s. (Essential)
