The Front of House Pass Master acts as the key link between the kitchen and front of house teams, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen correctly presented, complete and delivered to the right guest at the right time. The role is responsible for maintaining service flow, communication and quality control.
Key Responsibilities / Service Coordination
- Manage the kitchen pass throughout service.
- Coordinate the timing of food leaving the kitchen.
- Ensure dishes are served to the correct table and guest.
- Maintain smooth communication between the kitchen and front of house teams.
- Prioritise orders and manage service during busy periods.
Quality Control
- Check every dish for presentation and consistency before it leaves the kitchen.
- Verify dietary requirements and allergy requests have been correctly followed.
Communication
- Communicate table priorities and service requirements with chefs.
- Keep the restaurant team updated on waiting times and delays.
- Liaise with managers regarding VIP guests, complaints and special requests.
- Assist in coordinating large tables and private dining events.
Guest Experience
- Ensure food is delivered efficiently without compromising quality.
- Respond quickly to any issues or guest feedback relating to food.
- Support the restaurant team to maintain exceptional service standards.
Operational Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pass area.
- Ensure plates, cutlery and service equipment are stocked and ready.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Support both kitchen and front of house teams whenever required.

Role Objective
