The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provision of mortgage advice.
- Assessing the client’s financial position, understanding their needs and recommending a mortgage solution which is appropriate to the circumstances.
- Provision of advice on protection products.
- Assessing the client’s financial position, understanding their needs and recommending a protection solution which is appropriate to the circumstances.
- Ensuring all advice is provided in line with the requirements of the FCA including focus on consumer duty requirements and ensuring compliance with all other relevant industry rules and regulations.
- Cultivating the client base and building relationships.
- Driving organic growth/generation of new clients.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments; new products, technical or legislative changes within the mortgage and protection marketplace; and researching the market to ensure that knowledge is current
- Ensuring compliance with all requirements of a certified function holder.
- Ensuring CPD is completed on a rolling 12-month basis to the required standard and is sufficient and appropriate for the areas in which you are certified to provide advice and kept up to date at all times.
- Maintaining performance standards in accordance with Consumer Duty outcomes and those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators section of the Training and Competence procedures.
• Holding and maintaining the appropriate qualifications to be able to undertake the role (CeMap or equivalent). • Ensuring compliance with all requirements of an FCA certified function holder.
- Ensuring CPD is completed on a rolling 12-month basis to the required standard and is sufficient and appropriate for the areas in which you are certified to provide advice and kept up to date at all times.
- Maintaining performance standards in accordance with Consumer Duty outcomes and those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators section of the Training and Competence procedures.
- Ensuring that SPS via a recognised body is maintained at all times.
- Assessing the client’s financial position, understanding their needs and recommending a mortgage solution which is appropriate to the circumstances.
- Keeping up to date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the mortgage marketplace.
Due to the nature of the business the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable by the Company.
