AMC Hire are looking for a driven and proactive individual to join our team as a Lorry Driver with a CLASS 2 LICENSE.
AMC Hire (formerly known as A Mini Crane Hire) is a multi-disciplined crane hire company offering an efficient, safe and comprehensive service for all lifting solutions. Founded in 2009, the company has been growing strength by strength, year by year with continued investment into the hire fleet and fleet vehicles.
At our Heathrow depot, we have 2 x 3.5T Vans, 2 x Trailers and 1 x 32T Rigid Lorry.

About the role:
- You will be driving a Class 2 majority of the time, if there is holidays with other members of staff you may be required to drive in a van and trailer but you will be our main lorry driver.
- Monday to Friday
- Stated hours are 8am to 5pm, but these hours will vary day in, day out.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x (Monday - Saturday)
- Overtime paid at 2x (Sunday)
- Night Shift and Weekend work may be required occasionally, but this is only and as when due to customer requirements.
You will be dealing directly with the hire desk manager and director, with your main duties being:
- Delivering, collecting plant machinery to and from customers sites, ensuring customers sign relevant delivery and collection paperwork.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at point of delivery / collection, notifying the Hire Desk of any issues or concerns.
- Safely loading and unloading equipment.
- Tacho card management.
- Conducting daily vehicle defect checks on the company vehicle to ensure road worthiness, raising any issues through the correct process.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle at all times.
Requirements:
- Class 2 License
- Clean Driving License (DESIRED)
