Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join us as Deputy Election Manager and play a vital role in upholding democracy in the Lancaster district. You’ll ensure accurate electoral registers and support the smooth delivery of elections, referenda, and ballots, helping every eligible voter have their say. Your work will directly impact community engagement and trust in the democratic process.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be actively involved in electoral registration processes, the annual household canvass, working to deliver outcomes brought about by local government reorganisation and support polling place and other reviews. Your role includes maintaining electoral management systems, handling postal votes, and providing clear advice to the public and stakeholders. You’ll also supervise and mentor election staff, ensuring compliance with legislation and high standards throughout.
You’ll Fit Right In If…
An AEA certified election professional, you can demonstrate a strong knowledge of electoral law and experience in election administration, with excellent communication and ICT skills. You’re impartial, detail-focused, and thrive under pressure. Your ability to work collaboratively reflects our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
