Job Title: Bookkeeper Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will assist with credit control, maintain accurate financial records, prepare customer statements, manage filing systems, match supplier intakes with invoices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with credit control by monitoring customer accounts and following up on outstanding payments.
- Create and distribute customer account statements.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for financial and accounting documents, both electronic and paper-based.
- Support the administration of trade insurance, including maintaining records, preparing documentation, and liaising with insurers when required.
- Update and maintain accounting records and customer information.
- Assist with general bookkeeping and finance administration.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial information.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support the accounting department.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar finance support role is preferred of at least 2 years
- Good understanding of credit control processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good experience with accounting software Sage Line 50 is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work accurately under deadlines.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
