Capel Grange Residential Home is a 38-bed care home providing 24-hour Residential and Dementia Care. Located off the main Maidstone Road in Five Oak Green, we promote a happy working and living environment that is professional, courteous, caring, and fun.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our fantastic team for day or/and night shifts.
About the role
This is a key role within our home, supporting residents with high-quality, person-centred care while leading and supervising the team on shift. You will be responsible for ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and dignified care at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma
- Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification
- Previous care experience is essential
- Full training will be provided for the right candidate
- Highly motivated, positive, and passionate about delivering high-quality care
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead a team to a high standard
- Cheerful, compassionate, and caring nature
- Ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Strong understanding of person-centred care planning and risk management tailored to individual residents
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the shift
- Administer medication in a person-centred way
- Liaise with external professionals regarding residents' health needs
- Communicate important information effectively to the care team
- Report concerns relating to residents, visitors, or staff to the Care Manager and Deputy Manager
- Be aware of each resident's individual needs
- Ensure person-centred care is delivered while respecting each individual's choice, privacy, dignity, and rights
- Complete and maintain daily records accurately
- Complete competencies and audits
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Attend training as required
