Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations: Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and safely
· Staff management: Supervise and train warehouse staff, allocate tasks, evaluate performance and ensure that operational goals are met
· Inventory control: Oversee inventory control procedures, including regular stock counts and booking in/out of product on WMS and SAP
· Health and safety compliance: Enforce safety regulations to ensure the safety of all team members and visitors
· Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and collecting hauliers
· Provide accurate and detailed handover between shifts
· Give holiday cover for the stock control administration team.
Requirements
· Valid Counterbalance forklift license (Pivot Steer license also desired but training will be given)
· Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
· Must be able to work independently as this will be an autonomous role due to the shift pattern
· Solid IT skills with experience of using WMS and handheld scanners
· A flexible and proactive approach to a fluid business
· Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre, preferably in a supervisory role
· Experience with email and general customer contact along with strong administrative skills.
Hourly Rate: £16 per hour (£33,280 p/a)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (1430-2300)
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per annum
Pay: £16.00 per hour
