Overhead Crane Engineer
Candidate will be required to carry out electrical and mechanical works to single/double girder electric overhead cranes, jib cranes, chain hoists and air hoists.
The role consists of:
· Installation and commissioning of overhead cranes/wire rope hoists/manual and powered jibs/chain hoists and air hoists.
· Planned maintenance and repairs of customers on-site overhead cranes, electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists, swing jibs, air hoists. (Pendant and festoon systems, wheel replacement, rope replacement, electrical control gear modernisation, gearbox inspections and strip downs, etc.)
· Periodic LOLER inspections.
· Electrical and mechanical fault finding on customers defect assets. (415v 3 phase, 110v,48v)
· Load testing
· Consulting with customers regarding safety issues and repair options
· Detailed and complete paperwork including Service sheets, timesheets, LOLER reports, repair sheets, POWRA’s.
Requirements:
· Time served in electrical/mechanical
· Crane experience
· LOLER knowledge
· Working at height
· IPAF licence
· Electrical/ mechanical qualifications (electrical bias desired)
· Able to read electrical drawings (desired)
· Inverter experience (desired)
· LEEA certificates (desired)
