We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager/Team Leader to oversee operations within a Children’s Residential Home. Wages
Team Leader from 28,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Deputy Manager from 35,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily residential home operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs and circumstances
- Ensure effective communication with children, families, social workers, and external agencies to coordinate care and support services
- Oversee safeguarding procedures, risk assessments, and incident reporting to maintain a safe environment for children
- Manage administrative tasks including staff rotas, training schedules, and maintaining accurate records using IT systems
- Promote the emotional well-being of children by encouraging participation in activities that support their development
Experience
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Demonstrated experience in caring for children or young people with complex needs
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures relevant to children’s residential care
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with children, families, and multi-agency teams
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation needs when required
